Saints Prison Ministry Touching Base was produced by Scott Henry of Orange Lion Productions, with the help of an outstanding production team. From concept to completion, the film took over three years, and is currently seeking distribution. After 6+ years as a staff worker at ESPN—in which he garnered multiple Emmys and a Peabody—Scott formed a production company with Marc Kinderman, an equally decorated ESPN producer, and set out to "make it” in the business. A documentary project in 2002-03 surrounding the Bataan Death March in World War II altered Scott’s perspective, as he experienced a whole new side of storytelling, and, simultaneously, realized a new side of himself. In the succeeding years, Scott pursued similar ‘value’ projects such as short documentaries on Hurricane Katrina clean-up, an after-school center for at-risk kids, a half-way house for released inmates, and work with national non-profits Save the Children and Feed My Starving Children. But nothing had the depth and challenge of spending so many days in so many states with the Saints.
